Mini-Gathering: Weather Report
How was your weekend? SCHEDULE PoLs Sentence Starts: This month's Indie Lens film (sorry juniors and seniors!) is about community organizers. Go around the Advisory circle and complete the sentence starts. Afterwards, discuss the ideas more in depth. 1) A community I am a part of is... 2) If I wanted to make a change in my community, I would start by talking to... 3) A change I would want to see in my community is... Who are the leaders in your community? Who are the people that can help you advocate for your needs? Is there overlap in those groups? TUESDAY
Academic Advisement Goal Reflection & PoL Prep Gathering: Circle Up & Share to Sit Share successes from the past week. Share struggles from the past week. Everyone should share one or the other, but may share both if they would like. The circle starts standing up, but students can sit after they have shared. Independent Work: Select two boxes on the back to reflect with. OR Start a new SMART Goal sheet. Goals should be long term (3-4 weeks), and focused on building or changing habits and routines rather than completing tasks. Goal Feedback/Suggestions: Every student should have a goal partner. Teachers should assign partners to ensure that everyone has a partner, but it may be beneficial for students to have some voice in who they are working with. Once partnered up, students should discuss their goals, and offer suggestions to each other to help a goal be successful. Ticket Out: Verbal What was the best suggestion you received today? OR What is your new goal for the next few weeks? THURSDAY: ACT Review
Gathering: Weather Report How did you feel about your experience with the ACT or Pre-ACT this year? Peel the Fruit: Continue peeling the fruit. Ticket Out: What claim is in the center of your fruit? WEDNESDAY: Town Hall & GWT

Pre ACT prep Warmup Google Form Agenda with links (Addie, please cover Chris's Advisory at this time.) Seniors Civics Prep Report to the Art Room for Civics preparation with Dan. Freshmen & Sophomores Peel the Fruit: There are prompts in the corner of the document for what to put into each slice of the fruit. "1 - Product" goes in the outermost layer, "2 Process" goes in the second layer, etc. Each slice is space for a different class. Start Peeling the Fruit by doing one slice together as an advisory. I would recommend talking through either a class that you teach, or one that most/all of your advisees have together. Only do Prompts 1-3. Prompt 4 is the center that ties all the slices together. After working through one slice as a group, students can independently work on their other slices. Guided Work Time | 1:30 - 2:00 Please review the GWT Office Hours document for requested locations. TUESDAY
