POL Planning: Challenge/Explore
Gathering: If you could change one thing about your habits this year so far that you think would have made you more successful, what would it be? POL Planning: Today you will reflect on a challenge you have had this year, as discussed in the POL. You can do this reflection on Slide 11 of your POL Planner. We will review the instructions together on slide 10. Once you are done, delete the instructions. Independent: Reflect on your challenge and goals moving forward (slide 11 of POL Planner). Ticket Out: Share your "plan to improve" with the group! Sign up for College Classes/Explore Job Shadow
Gathering Prompt: What was something you found interesting from the college students presentations yesterday OR what is a college course you may be interested in taking? Discuss: The deadline for signing up for college courses is March 1st. If you are a sophomore or junior, you may have the option to sign up for classes. I will come around to discuss with you the possibilities for first semester next year. If you are not able to sign up for college classes yet, you could sign up for a job shadow experience. During conferencing today, we will discuss what type of job shadow you may be interested in doing. This will help me set you up with the right opportunities! Conferencing: As I am conferencing with students about college classes and job shadow, please use the time to work on your POL Planner or missing work. POL Planning - Choose & Describe Artifact #3
