Create an analysis paragraph for each of the three characters in your Peel the Fruit. Each paragraph should include (using information from your Peel the Fruit) these three elements:
Thesis Statements!Definition/Purpose: topic + argument = thesis. The author presents the audience with the framework of the argument. The audience has a clear understanding of what the text will be about, encouraging them to read further.
Outline and Format: Be extremely specific when filling out your answers to the following questions. This worksheet will become the road map for both your thesis statement and your essay. The more specific you are now the easier it will be to write your essay. Finally, remember that a solid essay is written in academic language, meaning it should maintain a third person point-of-view. Avoid pronouns like I, me, we, ours, us, etc.
