Workshop
Peer Review Objectives
Procedures Step 1: Read the Personal Statement straight through. Do not write anything at this point. Just develop a sense for the written voice and the picture the writer is attempting to paint. Step 2: Re-read the Personal Statement. This time through, annotate the text through the letter thinking routine. Remember this thinking routine is meant to critically inform the writer about personal statement. Be critical, DO NOT make assumptions. If you cannot clearly answer the questions below, explain to the writer why you can't do so. DO NOT assume you know what they mean based on your own ideas and experiences. This doesn't actually help the writer since other readers will not make those same assumptions. Consider the various elements of the personal statement; understanding the areas of growth in the personal statement will help you and the writer understand how to improve as writers. Étude Letter Writing CampaignDescription
As a Community, we seek to reach out and help those that may not have a Community as strong as ours. We do this by activating our strong communication skills. Once a month, we will write letters and send them through the various organizations listed below. Our goal is to brighten someone's day by receiving a letter full of visual art, thoughtful communication, and celebration of monthly themes. Organizations |
